Questions

Which Glocks does it fit?

Glock 17, 22, 31, 37 (Gen 1–3). Buffer versions also fit 17L, 24, 34, 35 (Gen 1–3). Long Slide version: 17L, 24C, 34, 35 (Gen 1–3).

Which version should I choose?

Standard ammo and a factory slide: Classic or Buffer. Compensator, suppressor or ported slide: a Soft or Extra Soft version. Hotter calibers like .40, .357 Sig or 10mm: Heavy Duty or Heavy Captured, where offered.

What does Captured mean?

The rod and springs come as one assembly, so it installs just like the factory recoil rod.

Do I need a gunsmith?

No. It replaces the factory recoil rod during a normal field strip.

Do you ship it outside the US?

No. DPM systems ship to US addresses only.

The Full Rundown

Less kick and faster follow-ups from your Glock 17 Gen 1–3.

The DPM system replaces the factory recoil rod and spring in your Glock 17, 22, 31, 37 Gen 1–3. A multi-spring rod controls the slide through its whole travel, so it doesn't slam the frame, the muzzle stays flatter and your next shot is on target sooner.

Pick Your Version

  • Classic: DPM's original captured multi-spring rod, with external springs to tune it to your ammo.
  • Classic Soft: Softer setup for compensators, suppressors, ported slides and lighter loads.
  • Buffer: Newer design: an inner buffer spring takes the last 3–4 mm of slide travel. Includes a 6 lb firing pin spring.
  • Buffer Heavy Duty: Buffer design in a stronger setup for hotter calibers. Includes a 6 lb firing pin spring.
  • Buffer Captured: Buffer design as one captured assembly, so it goes in like the factory rod. Includes a 6 lb firing pin spring.
  • Buffer Captured Extra Soft: Captured buffer design, extra soft for compensators and suppressors. Includes a 6 lb firing pin spring.
  • Long Slide (17L, 24C, 34, 35): Classic multi-spring rod for the long-slide models.

The Good

  • Noticeably less muzzle rise
  • Smoother slide cycling
  • Protects slide and frame
  • Drop-in, no gunsmith

The Bad

  • Ships to US addresses only
  • Model and generation specific

Compatibility

  • Glock 17, 22, 31, 37 (Gen 1–3)
  • Buffer versions also fit 17L, 24, 34, 35 (Gen 1–3)
  • Long Slide version: 17L, 24C, 34, 35 (Gen 1–3)

Important

Fit depends on model, generation and version. Match your pistol to the compatibility list before you order.

The Bottom Line

One of the biggest shooting upgrades you can make to a Glock 17 Gen 1–3 without touching the frame or slide.
