How to Install a Micro RONI: Drop, Lock, Done

If you can holster a pistol, you can install a Micro RONI.

The whole point of the RONI design is that your pistol goes in and out without tools and without taking anything apart. Here's the routine, start to finish.

Before You Start

  • Make sure you have the right version for your pistol. The Fits option on the product page (for example "Glock 17/19/19x/22/23/31/32/44/45" or "CZ P10") must match your gun. Not sure? The Builder only shows what fits.
  • Read the instructions that come in the box. They are written for your exact version.

Step by Step

  1. Unload and check. Remove the magazine, lock the slide back, and visually and physically confirm the chamber is empty. Every time.
  2. Open the lock on the kit.
  3. Seat the pistol in the chassis so it sits fully home.
  4. Close the lock. The pistol should be held firmly, with no wobble.
  5. Check the controls. Work the charging handle, which stays inside the kit, and make sure your magazine inserts and drops cleanly.

Before the Range

  • Mount your optic on the top rail and zero it. On the Gen 4X there's room for a red dot plus a magnifier.
  • Thumb rests, a light and a sling go on the side rails and sling points.
  • Pick your stock setup with your local rules in mind.

Quick legal note: check your local rules before you pick a stock. In the US, a shoulder stock on a pistol may require NFA/SBR registration.
